It’s almost summer again! That means another ICT Summer Program is on the horizon. You can find our flyer and registration form here.This is a popular program and space is limited!
Our Summer Program is a weekday camp that runs from 6/26 to 8/11. We welcome kids ages 2-6 who need support with language and social interaction. All activities are play and group-based, and are designed to motivate and engage our campers.
Some of our Summer Program goals are to nurture development in the following areas:
Understanding nuances of language:
- Greeting others and making eye contact
- Listening to others
- Respecting personal space
- Reading, understanding, and using body language
Understanding and communicating concepts:
- Following directions or sequencing steps to a task
- Creating stories or retelling events
- Negotiating or defending ideas, and accepting other’s ideas
- Expressing thoughts, ideas or feelings, and persisting when not heard or understood
Building friendships and relating to peers:
- Initiating play
- Being flexible
- Taking turns
- Seeing something from another’s perspective
