Taryn Barone

Taryn Barone, Speech-Language Pathologist

Taryn Barone, MS, CCC-SLP, brings extensive expertise to the ICT team, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Child Development from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from The University of Sydney. Her diverse experience spans hospital settings, private practice, disability schools, and school-based services, where she has supported a wide range of populations.

She specializes in working with children with complex medical needs, implementing AAC tools, and using innovative technologies like eye gaze devices to empower nonverbal communicators.

Inspired by her younger brother’s therapy journey and her passion for helping children, Taryn knew from an early age that she wanted to make a difference. Having worked with children since she was 15—as a babysitter, volunteer, and camp counselor—she found her purpose in speech therapy, where she combines her love of teaching with her desire to support others.

Taryn values building strong connections with her clients and families, cherishing moments when progress “clicks” and children achieve meaningful milestones, fostering deeper relationships and greater confidence.

Her certifications include membership in Speech Pathology Australia and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP). She is also certified in Early Steps and trained in First Aid, Basic Life Support, and CPR.

Dedicated to helping children succeed, Taryn is honored to play a role in their journey toward improved communication and independence.
