Michaella Kanarek Barroso, Occupational Therapist
Michaella Kanarek Barroso, MSOT, OTR/L earned her Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from Florida International University and her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Barry University. She has been working in pediatric therapy settings since her undergraduate years and even became a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) while completing her graduate studies to continue supporting children’s development.
From an early age, Mica knew she had a passion for helping others—especially children. She was drawn to occupational therapy because it allowed her to build meaningful, long-term relationships with children and their families, celebrating growth and progress every step of the way.
Mica believes in setting purposeful, motivating goals that empower each child to reach their fullest potential. She is also certified in Handwriting Without Tears, a program designed to make learning handwriting engaging and accessible for all learners.
