Melissa Marinelli, Assistant Director
Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Florida International University. While teaching high school history and ESOL, she pursued her Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Nova Southeastern University because she wanted to work one on one with children and affect change across the board, not just inside the classroom. Before joining ICT, Melissa worked with both children and adults in the areas of interdisciplinary evaluations and services, LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities), parent education, support groups, and feeding interventions. In her role at ICT, she is committed to helping families and is motivated by the great opportunity to have a positive, meaningful and long-lasting impact on their lives. . Melissa is bilingual and certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She is trained in DIR/Floortime, PROMPT, AEIOU Systematic Approach to Pediatric Feeding, Social Thinking, and Beckman Oral/Motor Program. In addition to direct therapy, she has provided training for professionals and developed intervention programs for schools and families abroad.
