Antonia Simms, Speech-Language Pathologist

Antonia Simms, M.A., CCC-SLP is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for supporting children as they grow into confident, capable communicators. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Florida International University and later completed her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida, inspired by her experience working with students as an educational instructor at Lindamood-Bell. It was there that she discovered her love for helping children learn, connect, and find their voice – ultimately motivating her to pursue a career as a clinician.

Antonia has experience working with children across a wide age range, from early childhood through late adolescence, in both private practice and school settings. She has supported children with a variety of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, fluency disorders, Selective Mutism, and Dyslexia/Hyperlexia. Her therapeutic work focuses on speech sound production, expressive and receptive language skills, social communication, phonological awareness, decoding, and reading comprehension.

What Antonia finds most meaningful in her work is partnering with children on their journey to express their needs, share their personalities, develop meaningful relationships, and access the written world through strong literacy skills. She believes in building connection, confidence, and joy through communication.

Antonia is trained in Lindamood-Bell programs including Seeing Stars® for phonological and orthographic processing and Visualizing and Verbalizing® for language comprehension and critical thinking.

Outside of the therapy room, Antonia is dedicated to fostering collaborative, individualized care that empowers every child to reach their fullest potential.
