Jessica Rodriguez, Special Education Teacher and Behavioral Interventionist
Jessica earned a bachelor’s degree in special education from Florida International University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Barry University. She is currently completing a graduate certificate in applied behavioral analysis (ABA).
Jessica has been a special needs educator for 12 years, 6 of them in a classroom with children with varying exceptionalities. After working with several ABA therapists, she saw firsthand how it can lead to improvements in children’s behavior and was inspired to pursue ABA herself.
Jessica is trained in the Orton Gilligham Method and Handwriting Without Tears. She has attended the Zella Glazer Writing Institute, the Get Your Teach On training in New Orleans, and the Harry Wong Effective Teaching Conference.
She is excited to be working alongside ICT therapists, whom she got to know when they taught speech and Social Thinking in her classroom. She values their dedication to children and their input – especially about helping children overcome social challenges.
